Ordering FAQ's answered: Prices in each Category vary according to detail, general appeal, studio time and materials consumed. You are welcome to appoint someone closer to us to come in and choose your order for you. Shapes and designs are infinitely at random. Photos show a good cross section of the kind of shapes and styles you will receive. It is foremost in our minds when laying out your order to co-ordinate colors, shapes and styles that encourage multiple sales of necklaces or pendants with earrings. After you get to know the product better we will do our best entertain other directives you may suggest. Anything you are not happy with can be returned for full credit* The genuine Ryan Signature is found on the back of all pieces except earrings. All pendants have a German Silver bail (chain loop) that will not leave a tarnish mark on clothing like sterling silver does.

Roughing Out Your Order:
Set your budget by considering our Six Piece 50% Off Deal and by our Regular Discounts shown above. Use $ 33.00 retail per piece as an average. If you choose to spend $1,000.00 this means $2000.00 @ Retail divided by $33.00 equals about 60 pieces and you can go from there. Every order creates a custom variety selected from pieces typical of those shown. Controlling availability of thousands of actual, illustrated, online choices would raise prices sharply, so out of the question because low price re-sells best by far.

Handling & Shipping Charges (Canada Post/USPS/ground mail)

Taxes
The HST is added to all Canadian orders. Orders shipped to the U.S. are invoiced @ net (without taxes) and may or may not be taxed upon delivery to your door. This depends on your State tax system. Often large batches of mail are passed without taxation to clear overloads at the post office. Taxes are recoverable when goods are resold and you can show your taxed sales invoices.

Wholesaling FAQ's Answered:

Your Ryan jewelry will arrive individually packed on an explanatory card and sealed in a crystal clear cello envelope. Our Suggested Retail Price is marked on a removable sticker on the envelope's hanging-display tab. Price labels can be removed and replaced as you see fit. (Any tampering will be quite obvious). You will often find a few pieces worth more to you than the price marked. Product variation is 100% so no one can challenge a few of dollars increase. Cello pouches allow perfect viewing and any amount of handling while the silver and art glass piece inside remains sparkling clean to please your next customer. We have tried numerous ways of selling at Shows and in our Gallery and this is by far the best. Gummy fingers from hand cream, lunch, perspiration, etc, etc. are a common fact of life. Even earrings, behind cello, are easily tried in place in front of a mirror by holding pouch up to the ear without un-wrapping. This prevents both soil and infection spread. My walk-in patrons love it because as humans we are all tactile and touching is part of buying. All displays must have some typical un-wrapped pieces to try on*

All pieces except earrings have the genuine Ryan Signature on back. All design elements are created in our studio. Only Sterling Earring fittings are supplied near the ear. Our quest for Originality dictates highly varied designs and lengths.

Every time you receive a new order from us you can tell your customers by e-mail list that you have not kust "Exciting New Arrival, Ryan Originals" but 100% new works as never seen before" because it's always surprising and true.

It is a good idea, when you receive an order, to digitally photograph all pieces in dated groups as a reference for your next order. Who can remember the particulars of sold originals at re-order time?

Getting ready to sell

Once you have shown your first order of "Ryan's Mouthwatering Jewelry" around and are comfortable with the idea, it's time to get ready to sell. Your Jewelry Sales (carry) Kit should include a reasonable selection of various pieces. Greater selection always means greater sales. We suggest turning profits into a gradual growth approach as you learn by selling. Would you shop for shoes where they only had a dozen pairs?

CHAINS: The silver plated (rustproof brass under) snake chains packed and marked "Free" with pendants and "Danglies" are 18 inch x 1.5 mm representing 95% of all sales requirements (sometimes 2.0 mm x 18 inch on some of our largest pendants). Customers can find longer or shorter plated and sterling chains in any mall. Or, you can pick up a selection on www.etsy.com under "supplies". Do look out for scalpers, prices are all over the place and some are advertised as sterling when only plated. Pack them immediately in cello envelopes available below. We do offer beautiful 1.5 mm x 18 inch fine Italian made, sterling snake chains as an option @ $9.50 each net with any order. These retail elsewhere for $25.00 to $30.00 so $19.00 retail is very reasonable.

Show & Display Equipment Suggestions

A generous size, well lit, tilting mirror is essential plus a plain, light colored table cover and curtain below. (patterned doesn't work with Jewelry). Small desk lamps with 60 Watt tungsten bulbs facing down really show off the sparkle of our Kaleido-Dichroics™. Some Quartz lighting can be good but can burn customers. Definitely avoid cold, "bluish" tone LED lighting. Try in the store with jewelry.

You will need silver polishing cloths for resale and for re-polishing your opened and worn-by-you stock ("blue polishing cloths" from www.sfjs.net item # 321106, under $2.00 ea. Sell for $4.00). Make the jewelry sale then sell them the cloth before you ring it up. Easy Jewelry Cleaning Instructions can be downloaded free from our www.ryanartsbnb.com. Selling the cloths @ $5.00 with a copy works.

Ask clients nicely, not to open heat sealed cello pouches. It just takes one to start a chain reaction. Opened stock can be cleaned and repacked with extra cello pouches available from us @ 24 for $2.75. Each has a peel and stick closure plus hanger.

As a dealer, an essential addition is to have two pairs of our flat nose, smooth jaw, jewelry pliers to open 'J' rings (by twisting in two directions at once sideways then closing the same way, not by opening into a 'C' ). These will allow you to change earring fitting styles and necklace chains can be switched/shortened, all on the spot. (We ship about 30% with French wires on earrings). These pliers are available from us @ $15.00 for two pairs. These pliers also have a cutter on the side to nip off any extra chain.

Extra sterling, earring ball posts with sterling barrel clutches ($12.00 per 4 pairs). Extra sterling French ear wires with guards ($10.00 per 4 pairs). Extra sterling "butterfly" clutches for our stud earrings only ($6.00 per 4 pairs). Extra 1.5 mm x 18 inch or 16 inch plated chains. (10 for $10.00) All available from us with jewelry order.

Blue Velvet Jewelry Pouches add a nice "Jewelry Store" touch to sales. They fit our pendant and earring packaging when cello tab is folded in first. 25 pack $6.95.

The best supplier we have found for your Jewelry Carry/Display Kit itself is from www.gemsondisplay.com. We suggest their canvas Premium Carrying Case (small) #91-B2 @ $9.56 USF. They also have a Rolling Case with a tow handle # 91-4B @ $16.95. Black is best for everything. Either holds 12 Clear View Jewelry Trays # 83-2F @ $6.32 each. Size closed is a very compact 8-1/2 in. X 14-3/4 in. X 12-3/3 in. ht. You won't need their Tray Liners. Each tray fits 12 cello envelopes of our Pendants or Earrings. There is height for three layers per tray X 12 trays. We use two of these rolling units to wheel to shows. Clear lids identify contents instantly and the kit makes you look very professional which is a big selling factor.

Another addition is Zerust Tool Drawer Liners. These are available in various sizes and prevent tarnishing on all metals for up to five years in closed cabinets, storage bins and when used as covered display tray liners between selling. These come in inexpensive rolls*, various sizes, in black only and are effective under any breathing fabric. Mark with a silver Sharpie marker, cuts easily with scissors to fit. www.zerust.com
